Since 1968, Irish setters have shared our home and have been a part of our lives. Gail and John began with companion and obedience dogs, and as their love and involvement with the breed grew they became active in the conformation ring and evolved into breeders. Daughter Tami was raised with Irish Setters and continues the tradition of showing and breeding quality dogs with her parents. A third generation is just beginning what we hope will be a lifetime of love for Irish setters. More about our history in the breed.
Anamacara has produced generations of breeder and owner-handled AKC and UKC champions. Many of our dogs and owners have earned obedience, rally, agility, hunt test, and other titles. And most importantly we breed many wonderful healthy companions for people and families. Anamacara dogs have earned more than 175 titles.
We are members of the Irish Setter Club of America (ISCA), Milwaukee Irish Setter Club, and Badger Kennel Club. We conduct puppy-training, conformation, and obedience classes at local dog training clubs.
